The Isle of Raasay has a thriving Arts and Crafts scene. There are many talented artisans living on the island and in 2015 a group of them got together to start occasional Craft Fairs, under the banner.
Three Fairs are held each year in May, August and late November. At these Fairs visitors can see examples of jewellery, bags, embroidery, crochet, knitting, weaving, wood-working, paintings, hand-made cards and all the items for sale are made here on the Island. The Fairs are mostly held in the Village Hall, which is within walking distance of the pier on a delightful path along-side a croft, with superb views over to Glamaig on Skye. There is a cafe at the Fairs serving coffee and tea and delicious home baking provided by the islanders.
