Raasay - Free Presbyterian Church
The Raasay Congregation of the Free Presbyterian Church of Scotland is one of the foundation congregations of the denomination.

This denomination broke away from the Free Church of Scotland in 1893 because of departures from God’s Word. One of the first ministers to protest against these departures and separate from the Free Church was the Rev DA MacFarlane. At the time he was a Free Church minister in Raasay.
- As with every Reformed witness in every age the distinctive feature of our witness is the work of God. God sent His Son into the world thereby showing His love for fallen sinners.
- God gives us His Word and blesses that Word. It is His Spirit who forms faith in the heart and causes us to believe. Worship, therefore, is dictated by that same Word.
- The whole doctrines of God’s Word are preached and only God’s Word, the Psalms, are sung.
- Those professing faith are, as becomes God’s people, expected to live according to God’s Word and thus to His Glory.
- The Lord’s Day (the first day of the week) is kept as a day of rest both of body and soul.
Services are held at 12-midday and 6pm on Sabbath
(The Lord’s Day).
The Prayer Meeting is at 7pm on Wednesday.
