Donald Macleod - Engineer
When Donald MacLeod returned to Raasay after being away for forty years he brought a wealth of engineering experience, from the days of hydro schemes when he served his time with Logans at Muir of Ord, production engineering with Ross-shire Engineering in Dingwall, and as a founder director of MacKay & MacLeod in Evanton.
From his workshop in Raasay he turns out Pot Haulers which have reached all corners of the UK and as far as Chile, Italy, and recently to Guadaloupe.
Other products include items for mussel culture, cattle grids, gates and railings to mention just a few.
