Raasay Community Association
Postcard & Photography Competition
RCA would like to hold a postcard competition over the course of the summer. The last competition we held over 10 years ago provided some stunning photos of Raasay that were made into postcards and sold locally as a fundraiser. Due to the success of the last competition and stocks of these cards getting low, we would like to hold a new competition this year.
Entries can be photos of raasay, printed or digital, in postcard format but in any size, taken anytime, and should be in by September 30th.
During October we will collate all the entries, printing them to the same size and arrange them for viewing. In the last week of October we will hold an open viewing, (tea, coffee & cake provided), where the winners will be chosen by public vote.
We would hope for between eight & twelve final winners that will go on to be printed by us over the winter and will be the postcards that visitors to the island will send to friends and relations for hopefully the next ten years.
Entry is open to everyone with a camera and you can enter as many photos as you like. They should be submitted to any of the board members by hand, delivered to the hall or digitally on CD, memory card or email. Cds and memory cards will be returned.
Digital Photos can be sent to raasaycommunityassoc@btconnect.com
or raasayweb@yahoo.com
